Introduced the all-new Volvo the safest car Volvo has ever produced to Kuwait last night, The New XC60.
The launch took place at Al Diyafa Village-Lettre D'amour, the French Restaurant and was attended by many of the VIP's in Kuwait along with a very high interest from Kuwait's media representatives; Mr. Tomas Ernberg (Volvo Regional Managing Director) was the guest of honor and Hady Haydamous (Volvo Training Manager) was at hand to describe the revolutionary new feature City Safety in detail.
"Volvo is the first manufacturer in the world to offer this type of feature as standard", Peter Duffield, Volvo Brand Manager of Kuwait explained.
This unique feature can help the driver avoid or reduce the effects of the type of low-speed collisions that are all-too common on the roads of Kuwait. If the car is about to drive into the vehicle in front and the driver does not react, the car breaks itself. Volvo's advanced safety know-how and technology is designed to not only prevent accidents but protect all occupants during times of danger. Combined with the T6 Engine (six-cylinder turbocharged 3.0L engine producing 285 horsepower, All Wheel Drive (AWD) with instant traction (fitted as standard on all Volvo XC60) and a chassis setting that is set aggressively- sporty without losing anything in terms of comfort, you will have a truly stunning driving experience.
A test track at the showroom has been constructed to allow customers to experience the City Safety in action first hand, followed by a test drive at their own leisure. The vehicle also sports a sharp, Scandinavian design on the interior and exterior that is sure to turn heads on the road. With a powerful engine, innovative features and unique attributes, the Volvo XC60 is an experience that everyone really should have.
The "Small Premium Utility" is the world's fastest-growing segment. Within the next few years, buyers will have at least ten crossover models to choose between. By the beginning of 2009, this segment was expected to expand by 75 percent to 443,000 cars.
Target group with high demands on technology
The XC60 project has its sights set on a target group that imposes high demands on design, brand integrity and high-tech content in it's choice of lifestyle products. When it comes to choice of car, these consumers adopt the same view as they do for other lifecycle products, that is to say all the properties should preferably be integrated into one single attractive and intelligent package.
