Volvo Adventure in partnership with the United Nations Environmental Programme is an educational programme that rewards environmental activities among the decision makers of the future. Those environmental projects are undertaken by young people to improve their local environment.

A group of bright Egyptian youth made a unique project, the first of its kind in energy projects. The project entitled “Electricity Mystery” was selected amongst the finalist projects for the Awards of 2007. It has many positive impacts by simple steps such as increasing the awareness of environmental affairs and energy issues. The project made the students co-operate and work together to achieve one goal which is reducing energy use. Eventually this exercise made them more active as they were conscious as they were trying to find solutions for environmental problems.

The objective of the project is to try to eliminate the ignorance that people have towards environmental and energy issues by giving scientific explanation and solutions on how we can preserve the environment we live in.
