NSW Waratahs

Volvo has been proud partners of the NSW Waratahs since 2009, and we’ve seen them go from strength to strength, taking home their first Super Rugby title in 2014. This year, we’re also sponsors of the Volvo NSW High Performance Centre – the development centre programme for future NSW Waratahs stars. This year, the Waratahs are looking to build on their 2016 season performance, and with a strong, young squad things are certainly looking up for the team.

Cure Brain Cancer Foundation

Volvo has been the main corporate partner for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation since 2010. The gestation of the partnership comes from the fact that both organisations are pioneering the development of lifesaving technology to save the lives of ordinary Australians.

Founded by neurosurgeon Professor Charlie Teo in 2001, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation (CBCF) is the leading brain cancer organisation for research, advocacy and awareness in Australia. In the words of their founder Professor Charlie Teo, “we value Volvo’s support and would like to thank the team for being such an important part of Cure Brain Cancer Foundation’s story. Together we will find a cure for this terrible disease.”

RUPA

Volvo has been a proud partner of The Rugby Union Players’ Association (RUPA) since 2013. The partnership is a key way for Volvo to showcase its ‘human-centric’ philosophy by supporting Australian Rugby Union’s most important assets, the players.

Volvo is the “Players’ Choice” of motor vehicle, and demonstrates its commitment to Rugby as the presentation partner of the annual Volvo-RUPA Awards lunch; Australia’s most prestigious Rugby player-voted awards event. Volvo and RUPA also collaborate to present the People’s Choice Team of the Year, allowing fans to have their say on the country’s best performing players.

RUPA was formed as Rugby embraced professionalism in 1995 to represent Australia’s elite Rugby players.
