The Volvo V40 R-Design meets the needs of the most demanding driver. Its combination of exclusive exterior and interior styling, optional sports chassis and responsive engines create a sporty yet refined 5-door performance hatchback.

Exterior design cues include an exclusive R-Design front end featuring a glossy black grille and unique LED lights. Inside there’s a new black interior with sculpted front seats in Nubuck textile and perforated leather featuring embroidered R-Design logos. An illuminated soft touch gear shifter, our unique blue R-Design digital instrument cluster and personalised interior LED lighting all add to the R-Design experience.

On the road, the V40 R-design has class-leading handling and steering. The optional lowered sports chassis means less body roll through corners while strong, fuel efficient petrol and diesel engines – including a high-output, five-cylinder 187 kW unit – mean you’ll never be short of power when you need it. Refined stability control and torque vectoring – which greatly improves handling and agility – ensure that you’re totally in control at all times.

When it comes to safety, the V40 R-design features a host of innovative technologies that both support your drive and protect you should an accident occur. Pedestrian Airbag, City Safety, DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control) and a lane keeping aid with driver-only haptic feedback – which subtly vibrates the steering wheel should you accidentally stray over the white line – ensure that your time behind the wheel will always be as safe as it is enjoyable.
