Volvo S60 awarded the new “2013 IIHS Top Safety Pick+”
The 2013 Volvo S60 has recognized as a Top Safety Pick+ of the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS). Recognizing 2013 models with superior crash protection, the “+” indicates good or acceptable performance in the new small overlap collision test. The S60 was just one of three out of 11 midsize luxury cars to earn this rating in the new small overlap collision test. The Volvo S60 has also been recognized as an IIHS Top Safety Pick every year since its re-introduction to the Canadian market in 2010.

Vincentric 2012 Best Value: Premium Midsize Sedan
After analyzing over 1,700 vehicles across eight different cost factors – including depreciation, financing, maintenance and repairs – Vincentric identified the 2012 Volvo S60 as the Best Value in Canada in the Premium Midsize Sedan category. The S60 was recognized for its lower than expected ownership costs given its market segment and price.

Volvo S60 receives top score in new IIHS rating
The 2012 Volvo S60 is one of only two vehicles tested to achieve an overall rating of "Good" in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's new small overlap frontal crash test.

IIHS Top Safety Pick: Midsize Luxury Cars
Leading all luxury brands with five IIHS 2012 Top Safety Picks, the Volvo S60 was once again recognized for its front, rear and roof safety protection in collision tests.

Each year, the editorial staff of Automobile magazine choose only ten vehicles for their annual All-Star award. Not surprisingly, the All-New Volvo S60 is one of the recipients of this prestigious award.

Volvo XC60 is the First Luxury SUV to Achieve a Top Safety Pick+ Award
The 2013 Volvo XC60 earned a TOP SAFETY PICK+ in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) new small overlap frontal crash test, currently making it the first and only midsize luxury SUV to achieve such results.

The XC60 earned the top rating of "good" in the tests. IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in a moderate overlap frontal crash, small overlap frontal crash, side impact and rollover, plus evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. TOP SAFETY PICK+ winners must earn good ratings for occupant protection in at least four of five evaluations, with no less than acceptable in the fifth test.

The Volvo XC60 is a proud winner of the inaugural 2012 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada award, honoured in the Premium Crossover SUV segment. Its strong maintenance and fuel results led the Volvo XC60 to claim the lowest cost of ownership in 20 of the 24 lifecycle scenarios measured.

NHTSA 5-Star Safety Rating
The 2011 XC60 is the only SUV in its segment to earn the NHTSA’s top honours in each seating position. And it’s the only unconditionally NHTSA-tested SUV in its segment to be rated 5 stars in front, side and overall crash worthiness.

IIHS Top Safety Pick: Midsize Luxury SUVs
Not only was the 2012 XC60 awarded a 2012 Top Safety Pick by the IIHS, its groundbreaking City Safety technology was also cited in an IIHS report for reducing collision frequency by up to 22 percent.

Vincentric 2012 Best Fleet Value in Canada
In the Premium Wagon segment, the Volvo XC70 was awarded an inaugural 2012 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada award. The Volvo XC70 posted impressive results in maintenance, depreciation and insurance, claiming lowest ownership costs for 20 of the 24 lifecycle scenarios measured.

The Volvo XC90 is a proud winner of the inaugural 2012 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada award, honoured in the Premium Mid-Size SUV segment. Analyzing over 1,700 vehicles in 24 cost scenarios using eight cost factors across all 10 provinces, Vincentric determined which vehicles offered the Best Fleet Value.

The 2012 S80 was once again awarded an IIHS 2012 Top Safety Pick in the large luxury car category for its performance in front, side, rollover and rear collision tests.

Canadian Black Book: 2011 Retained Value Award
Recognized for its enduring quality and value, the Volvo S80 is a first-time winner of the Canadian Black Book’s Retained Value Award, which examines 2007 model year vehicles for retained value in 17 categories.

IIHS Top Safety Pick: Midsize Cars
As sporty as it is stylish and safe, the 2012 C30 was awarded an IIHS 2012 Top Safety Pick for its performance in front, side, rollover and rear collision tests.

Canadian Black Book: 2011 Retained Value Award
As stylish and fun-to-drive today as it was four years ago, the Volvo C30 is a winner of the Canadian Black Book’s Retained Value Award for 2011, recognizing 2007 model year vehicles for retained value in 17 categories.

2012 Kelley Blue Book Award: Total Cost of Ownership Award
As a testament to its remarkable value, the 2012 C30 was awarded the Cost of Ownership Award in the Entry-Level Luxury Car Segment by Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com. The C30 was recognized for its low projected ownership costs based on criteria such as depreciation, finance and insurance fees, and maintenance and repair costs.

J.D. Power: Top-Ranked Model in its Class
The Volvo C70 is proud to add to its award list the title of highest-ranked compact premium sporty car by J.D. Power and Associates.
