Originally desigsned to test a building's resistance to earthquakes, we adapted this machinery to simulate crash situations where the car is tipped and pitched to tortuous extremes. This allows us to see the effects of real life collisions on the interior over and over without destroying the car body. Think of it as tough love.

There are three classes in the Volvo High Mileage Club. Drive your Volvo for 150,000 miles or more and you’re entitled to a bronze badge. A silver badge is yours if you’ve done more than 300,000 miles – no mean feat. An incredible 500,000 miles and you can claim gold – a badge of honour, if you will.
