            • Volvo S40 and V50 DRIVe - now with CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km

              Volvo Car Ireland has launched revised DRIVe versions of its S40 saloon and V50 estate, complete with Start/Stop technology, that reduces CO2 emissions to just 99g/km. The revisions reduce the CO2 emissions of the S40 and V50 by a further 5g/km and mean they now join the Volvo C30 DRIVe under the 100g/km threshold.

                For 40 years, Volvo Car Corporation's Accident Research Team has studied, documented and analysed over 40,000 traffic accidents involving Volvo cars in the real traffic environment. The knowledge gained has helped develop many of the new and innovative safety systems Volvo has launched over the years.
                • Zhejiang Geely Completes Acquisition of Volvo Car Corporation

                  Hangzhou, China / Gothenburg, Sweden - 2nd August 2010 - Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. ("Geely Holding Group"), one of the fastest-growing car manufacturers in China, today announced it has completed the acquisition of 100 per cent of Volvo Car Corporation ("Volvo Cars") from Ford Motor Company. 


                  Geely also announced that Stefan Jacoby, the Chief Executive of Volkswagen Group of America, would become President and Chief Executive Officer of Volvo Cars.
