We all get bored on long journeys. Fortunately, that’s now less likely thanks to Sensus Connected Touch. Connect to global radio with TuneIn, or stream music with our voice-controlled Spotify function: simply say the name of a song, and within seconds it’ll be playing in your Volvo. Just try not to argue with the kids about whose turn it is next.

It’s like driving a smartphone on wheels
Why should you have to go offline just because you’re in your car? We know that staying connected to the world is important. That’s why our smart Sensus systems enable you to browse the web on your car’s hi-res screen (when stationary, of course), download apps and connect your mobile phone to your car’s speakers. It’ll even make your Volvo a Wi-Fi hotspot for connecting other devices to the net.

Want a remote control for your car?
How many times, on a freezing day, have you wished the inside of your car was warm before you got in it? Or wondered if you’d forgotten to lock it? No problem. You can turn on the heater, lock the doors – and more – via your smartphone, wherever you happen to be, with our Volvo On Call app. Volvo On Call even alerts the emergency services if you have an accident, or tracks your car if it’s stolen.

We believe you shouldn’t need an instruction manual to operate a Volvo. Therefore all our controls, such as the thumbwheel on the steering wheel, are as easy and intuitive to operate as your favourite smartphone.

Every Volvo we make is packed with smart technologies to support your driving. Park Assist Pilot steers you into a parking space and Cross Traffic Alert warns you if a car is approaching from the side as you reverse out of a space. Active High Beam means you no longer have to flick between dipped and full beam to avoid dazzling other drivers.

We believe accidents are best prevented
Our cars have a range of smart technologies that will apply the brakes automatically if a collision is likely – for example, if you don’t spot a pedestrian in time, or if you’re about to collide with the vehicle in front.
Blind spot information
We can see where you can’t
If you’re changing lanes on the motorway, it’s hard to see if there’s a vehicle in your blind spot. Our warning system alerts you if there’s something there, letting you keep your eyes on the road ahead and move out safely.
Lane Keeping Aid
Helping you stay on the right track
If our Lane Keeping Aid senses that you’re straying a little too close to the white line (at speeds of over 65km/h) it will apply a gentle touch to your steering to help keep you in the right place.
We test our cars beyond the limit
Should the worst happen and your Volvo is involved in an accident, our cars feature safety cages made from ultra-hard boron steel to keep you safe. We test our cars rigorously to ensure they give you and those around you maximum protection.
