Are you interested in applying for a thesis work at Volvo Cars? If so, you have come to the right place.
There are two ways to apply to do thesis work at Volvo Cars. Every year, we post a number of thesis proposals on our website. The actual number of proposals and their content is based on organisational needs. If you don't find a suitable proposal, you’re welcome to submit your own proposal.
We will have a look at your application and make sure the right people receive it. They will then make an evaluation to determine if Volvo Cars is able to offer you the opportunity to do your thesis here.
When submitting your application, try to be as concise and specific as possible. Bear in mind that you should send in your application well in advance. Please tell us why you are interested in doing your thesis at Volvo Cars.

Internship
The internship period is intended to provide work experience for a varied group of students. In order to fulfil the criteria and be eligible the student must be enrolled in a:
- Compulsory Internship according to a set timetable
- Programme/course that is entitled to a study allowance/grant

Göteborgs Tekniska College
Göteborgs Tekniska College (GTC) is the result of unique cooperation between businesses and the municipality of Göteborg. The organisation is run as a company and it is owned by the Volvo Group, the Volvo Car Corporation and the municipality of Göteborg. Executive Sponsor Programme
The Executive Sponsor Program consists of three universities and three sponsors from our executive management team. The sponsors from Volvo Cars and the respective universities with which they are matched are as follow: Steven Armstrong – Handelshögskolan in Stockholm, Stuart Rowley – Handelshögskolan in Göteborg as well as Magnus Jonsson - Chalmers Tekniska Högskola.
Graduate Programmes
A Graduate Programme is an early development programme for selected graduates. It is an integral part of a long-term personal and professional development programme that provides access to numerous development opportunities and builds skills and inter-organisational experience. The programme also enables development of expertise and business leadership. All Graduate Programmes will be posted on our career site/available positions.
