Once the last application date is passed all applications will be evaluated in relation to the demands of the position. The candidates considered to be most suitable for the position will be called to an interview. Once this has been done references will be contacted and a second interview carried out. Depending on the level of the position an assessment could be used.
The final candidate is required to take a drug test before any offer of employment is made. All candidates will receive a response when the recruitment process is completed. The information received from unsuccessful candidates is not stored. The successful candidate's personal information will be stored in accordance with the Personal Data Act (Personuppgiftslagen, PUL).
The Personal Data Act
Employment at the Volvo Car Corporation means that the company will process your personal data. This information will be processed for the purpose of administrating the terms of employment, and the rights and obligations that this entails. For example, this may pertain to recruitment, salary-related matters, the administration of taxes and vacation time, internal and external communication, offers to employees from selected partners, safety, supervision and administration of information systems, and so on.

The information will be available to the Volvo Car Corporation and Ford Motor Company, including subsidiaries. In certain cases, your personal data will be sent to a “third country” if necessary, and if that country has adequate legislation pertaining to safeguarding personal integrity. The Volvo Car Corporation has appointed a personal data representative, whose task is to monitor the processing of personal data at the Volvo Car Corporation. Drug test
A drug test is mandatory for all candidates who are selected as potential employees of the Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden.
