As from October 1, 2013, Claes Rydholm – manager of Volvo Cars Heritage – will retire after 27 years with Volvo Car Corporation. Since August 2006, he has run the VCH operation, successfully building the brand from an historic perspective and putting classic Volvos on the international map.
Rydholm (61) has decided to move on in life and will from now on devote his time to his family, friends and hobbies. A man of many talents and interests, and with a huge international network, he will not be idle.
Claes Rydholm, an ex-naval officer and former motor journalist, spent his entire Volvo career communicating in words, pictures and verbally too, with both media and public in different roles and positions. With a lifelong interest in automotive history and classic vehicles, he really felt at home with heritage and history matters, and was always willing to share his enthusiasm with like-minded people all around the world. Claes Rydholm, here with some feathered friends in Tierra del Fuego, will now be able to spend more time bird-watching, one of his many hobbies.
