At Volvo Cars we have been reporting on environmental, health and safety aspects of products and production since 2000. In 2003, we published our first Sustainability Report in line with the international reporting guidelines from Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). By applying and living up to GRI's International guidelines for sustainability reporting, we aim to ensure transparent reporting based on content which is relevant to our stakeholders.

In 2012 we consulted some of our most important stakeholders in order to identify the issues that they see as most relevant for us to work with and report on. In the 2012 report we have tried to address these issues and made other improvements from a readability perspective.

For 2012 we report at GRI level B (self-declared).
