      The very influential US magazine Consumer Reports Reliability Study results were released recently. Volvo is ranked #1 among European car brands and finished 10th overall in this year's survey. This is much thanks to the positive results of the all-new Volvo S60, that get a recommendation to buy.

      • VOLVO WINS AT THE SHELL V-POWER AUTOWORLD CAR OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2011

        We did it again!

        Volvo swept three awards at the recent Shell V-Power Autoworld Car of the Year Award 2011 for the Volvo S80 T5 and the Naughty Volvo S60 T5.

        The Volvo S80 T5 was awarded the Best Premium Mid-Sized Passenger Car Award and Autoworld Member’s Choice Award after garnering the highest number of votes from the public.

        The Naughty Volvo S60 T5 picked up the Best Premium Compact Passenger Car Award.

          • Exciting result for "One Tonne Life": Record-making climate-lean life also brings financial benefits

            The "One Tonne Life" project in Hässelby near Stockholm shows that living a climate-optimised lifestyle is also good for one's private economy.
            During the six months that the Lindell family lived their climate-smart lifestyle, they not only succeeded in reducing their carbon dioxide emissions by almost 80 percent - they also cut their monthly costs by almost 2,900 kronor compared with their "old" lifestyle.

            • Impressive finish in "One Tonne Life": The Lindell family get down to 1.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide per person per year

              Sweden's Environmental Affairs Minister Andreas Carlgren will today officially close the "One Tonne Life" project in Hässelby just outside Stockholm. Over a period of six months, the Lindell family have lived climate-smart with their sights firmly set on reducing their emissions from the normal 7.3 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year to the minimal figure of just one tonne. Following an impressive final sprint, the Lindells finished at 1.5 tonnes. This means the family have succeeded in cutting their emissions by almost 80 percent compared with their start back in January.

                For the tenth year, environmentally aware teenagers from different parts of the world gathered together in Göteborg for the final round of the Volvo Adventure competition. This year's winners come from Shanghai in China with a project that demonstrates the environmental effects of replacing disposable chopsticks with recyclable ones.
