XC60 adds another feather to its cap
T6 LE variant bags 'Most Impressive SUV' at EVO COTY awards

Kuala Lumpur: Our XC60 T6 LE once again proved its worth, and added yet another award to its already bulging trophy cabinet, when it was named the 'Most Impressive SUV' at the EVO Car of the Year awards ceremony.

The XC60 beat out other well-known SUVs in the final tally, including the BMW X1 and the Peugeot 3008 to clinch top honours. It also proved a hit with the EVO judges, who said:

"This SUV is potent – fast, well built, incredibly sleek and very safe. And only Volvo knows how to pack as much electronics in their product, just to make sure that it is more secure than Obama in Fort Knox; well, not at that price anyway."

At its launch in 2008, the award-winning crossover XC60 was considered a 'Perfect 10' and deemed Volvo's safest and most stunning car ever. The XC60 boasts more intelligent safety systems than any previous Volvo, including Collision Warning with Auto Brake (CWAB), Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

And of course, there's City Safety – a pioneering safety technology that helps avoid low-speed collisions in city traffic. This ground-breaking feature automatically slows or even stops the XC60 altogether, to avoid a collision entirely or reduces the impact to avoid serious injury.

Add superb driving dynamics and a sleek, sexy and stunning design to the XC60's innovative safety technology and what you have is a fully-loaded package that any car enthusiast will find irresistible.

"The EVO Car of the Year award just goes to show why the XC60 is not only Volvo's current best-selling model worldwide, but arguably the best-looking cross utility vehicle available in the market today," said Volvo Car Malaysia president Mr. Goran Larsson.
