Volvo Cars continued its global sales momentum in September and reported its 16th consecutive month of global growth on the back of increases in all main regions. Sales for the first nine months are up 9.6 per cent year-on-year to 379,329 cars, while September sales rose by 6 per cent to 48,259 cars.

This April Clive Brook Volvo hosted their annual off site event at the Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa near Bolton Abbey where approximately 100 customers took a test drive in the Volvo model of their choice. Many of these customers are Volvo owners with the intention to purchase a new Volvo in the near future.
The day started off with a presentation by Mike, one of Volvo’s product geniuses, who enlightened us with the latest information on technology, safety and the future of Volvo cars, whilst answering some relevant and challenging questions. After which the Clive Brook demonstration team took to the roads in the breath taking Yorkshire Dales.
Supporting the event was Yorkshire Trike Tours and Jason and Michael provided an excellent alternative attraction with over 40 customers, including Clive himself, taking the opportunity of a brief tour of the Devonshire Estate with refreshments and buffet served on their return.
Many thanks to everyone involved in ensuring that the event ran smoothly and to the very attentive staff at the Devonshire Arms Hotels for providing a fantastic buffet lunch and to our customers who took the time out to attend. CLIVE BROOK RIDES OUT WITH MADISON GENESIS
With dealerships in Bradford and Huddersfield, Volvo dealership Clive Brook invited 24 lucky customers on their very own ‘Tour of Yorkshire’ with British UCI Continental cycling team, Madison Genesis. Members of the dealership, along with 24 customers, were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to ‘ride out’ with one of the teams who took part in this year’s Tour of Britain, Madison Genesis, around the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Skipton Road’s Ilkley Cycles’ Fuel Station Cafe played host to the team and guests before they all mounted their bikes and headed off for a 40-mile ride across the Yorkshire countryside, through the picturesque countryside of Bolton Abbey. Stopping for some well-earned coffee and cake at The Cavendish Pavilion, the group then made the six-mile journey back to Ilkley for lunch at local tapas restaurant, La Casita. Clive Brook commented on the day: “I was delighted that we were, again, able to host this amazing event with some of our customers and offer them a truly special day. We have so many loyal customers at the dealership that are extremely keen cyclists and were thrilled to be given to opportunity to race some of Britain’s best cycling talent. “Thanks to Volvo’s ties with Madison Genesis, this is the third year we have been able to run a ride out event with the cycling team. Clive Brook Volvo partners with Brownlee Tri as brothers return triumphant from Rio.
Clive Brook Volvo has proudly announced it will be a supporting partner of this year’s Brownlee Tri, held in the heart of Yorkshire, and hosted by Olympic and Commonwealth Champion brothers Alistair and Jonny Brownlee. Having represented the Volvo brand in Yorkshire for over a decade, with dealerships in Bradford and most recently, Huddersfield, Clive Brook has also been proactive in supporting local sporting events and for 2016 has aligned its name with the Brownlee Tri.
With just under a month to go, the Brownlee Tri will return to the stunning grounds of Harewood House, Leeds, on Saturday 24th September, where competitors get the chance to run the routes the Brownlees regularly train, as well as riding on the same roads as the Tour de France peloton. Through the partnership, Clive Brook will be exhibiting at the triathlon for competitors and spectators to come and see the multi award-winning XC90 on display and meet their local Volvo representatives.
As an event partner, Clive Brook will also be taking a fleet of Volvos liveried with the Brownlee Tri logo on to shuttle participants on race day to and from collection and drop off points surrounding the venue.
