For technical assistance regarding vehicle repair or diagnostics and / or the purchase of technical literature you can contact the Vehicle Technical Helpdesk service. To do this, telephone 01327 303630.
There are two available payment options and on your first call to the Helpdesk you will be asked to select which you require:
1) Frequent use - A one off charge of £100.00 (plus VAT) and a £1.00 per minute call charge (plus VAT). These charges do not include the supply of customised printed literature or hard copy workshop manuals. At the start of each subsequent call you will also be required to provide details of a credit card to which the call cost will be debited. At the end of a call you will be told the call length and cost that will be debited. You will also receive a monthly-consolidated statement.
2) Infrequent use - A £3.00 per minute call charge (plus VAT). Again these charges do not include the supply of customised printed literature or hard copy workshop manuals. At the start of each call you will also be required to provide details of a credit card to which the call cost will be debited. At the end of a call you will be told the call length and cost that will be debited. You will also receive a monthly-consolidated statement.
Please note the Vehicle Technical Helpdesk are not able to research an issue then call you back. Any necessary research will be done whilst the call is in progress.
If service 1 is selected and after registering, you will be asked to nominate authorised users of the service and will then be supplied with a PIN. At the start of each call you will be required to supply your PIN and identity for the call to continue. The Vehicle Technical Helpdesk will then be in a position to discuss any vehicle issue you may have or the supply of hard copy technical literature.
Should any customised printed literature be required following the above charges (i.e. where a technical publication covering the topic does not exist) there will be a charge of £15.00 per operation including delivery (plus VAT). Workshop manuals can also be supplied as hard copy only, where available. Prices for these vary and can be quoted on request but please note these can also be purchased from a Volvo Service Centre.
The Vehicle Technical Helpdesk service is available 08.30 to 17.15 Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays.
Notes: Volvo Car UK Limited reserve the right to change the charging structure and costs at any time but will give one month's* notice before doing so. All charges are payable by credit card. The Vehicle Technical Helpdesk is unable to assist in any modification of the Volvo product outside its original specification or in the fitting of non-Volvo approved accessories. Assistance can only be given regarding Volvo approved repair methods, using Volvo approved tooling and a competence of Volvo products is assumed, all of which are available from Volvo Car UK Limited or its suppliers.
