‘I have been lucky enough to be sponsored by Volvo since 2001, which was crucial to achieving gold at Athens 2004. During the campaign, we spent up to 10 months of the year training and competing aboard, constantly driving back and forth across Europe in total comfort and safety. Our Volvo XC90 towed our boat, which weighs 680kgs, and also allowed us to place our support motorboat on the roof and its engine inside – all this along with all our other sailing kit and three girls!
However, as I strive towards new goals with my young family, the car could not be more essential, we couldn’t be in safer hands.’
