Cowes, Isle of Wight
 The Round the Island Race is one of the worlds’ largest and most famous yachting races attracting an annual entry of 1700 boats. The event is the third largest annual participative sport in the UK, making it sailing’s equivalent of the Flora London Marathon. The race course is 55 miles, heading west from Cowes, around the Isle of Wight and back to Cowes. Racers include first timers and families alongside top professional sailors.
Volvo Car UK has been a race sponsor since 2005, adding to their support of some of the country’s most successful sailing programmes.
