Automatic Collision Alert

If an airbag deploys or safety belt pre-tensioners are activated during a collision, an alarm will automatically transmit to the Volvo On Call emergency centre. A trained crisis manager will then direct ambulance and police services to your exact location and try to speak with you via the integrated telephone - providing calm assistance until help arrives. This one feature alone is reason enough to equip your car with Volvo On Call. In the event of a severe crash, time is critical. An instant SOS like this can summon emergency help to arrive before a crash victim's "golden hour" has past.

If you’re involved in an emergency, press the SOS button on the centre console. This puts you in direct contact with a Volvo On Call operator who will ensure that help is immediately despatched – police, ambulance or other relevant assistance. The operator will guide the emergency services all the way to your car via the GPS system, and maintain contact with you until they arrive. This is an optional Volvo On Call service.
