Our environmental commitment even stretches to our worldwide workshop network, whose repair methods and tools we've developed to reduce their environmental impact. Our highly trained service workshop personnel are also continually working
to reduce environmental impact by reducing waste volumes and using environmentally approved chemicals.
Volvo Cars also imposes special requirements and recommendations on its service workshops as regards the management of waste and chemicals. Opting to go further, several dealers have achieved certification under the ISO 14001 standard – a step which is strongly recommended and encouraged by Volvo Cars.
The quantity of waste generated by packaging of various kinds has grown to become an environmental issue. For this reason, the environmental responsibilities of Volvo Cars also extend to the packaging of our spare parts. The majority of our packaging materials are recyclable and provided with clear recycling symbols. The materials must not contain any harmful substances and we are also striving to develop packaging which is as resource-efficient as possible.
Volvo Cars has also developed an environmentally compatible range of car care products branded as Car & Eco Care. The range consists of 21 products, all developed to promote an optimum balance between effectiveness and environmental care.
