Volvo Car South Africa (VCSA) paid tribute to its dealer network at the 2013 Volvo Dealer of the Year (DOTY) at a luxurious awards event last week. The event took place at a Private Nature Reserve in the famed Boekenhoutskloof area – the perfect backdrop for this exclusive event.
The annual Dealer of the Year awards give recognition to Volvo's dealer network in Southern Africa for commitment and dedication to the Volvo brand but also for consistently delivering excellent levels of service.
Volvo is the most human-centric car brand in the industry, and this carries through from its world-leading safety technology to the service received by each customer at a Volvo dealership. As a luxury brand, Volvo is committed to delivering high levels of service on par with its internationally recognised levels of quality, design and performance. The task of delivering this level of service naturally rests mainly with Volvo’s dealer network and Volvo Car South Africa’s dealers have once again proved that they are dedicated to upholding the standards required of this prestigious brand.
Sales Dealer of the Year was awarded to Auto Baltic East Rand for consistent and focused performance in exceeding all Sales objectives for 2013 – these include customer satisfaction scores. This is the second year in a row that Auto Baltic East Rand scooped this award, which is a superb achievement in a tough economic climate and requires the commitment of the entire Auto Baltic East Rand team. It shows that this dealership knows the value of creating and sustaining a team that consistently achieves and succeeds at its set goals and targets.
The Aftersales Dealer of the year award went to Tom Campher Motors in Auckland Park. This dedicated team recently managed to completely rebuild and upgrade their premises to a standard that is unsurpassed in South Africa. Tom Campher Motors received this same award last year, and they were obviously determined to keep the trophy. This illustrates what a team with passion for the Volvo brand and a fantastic attitude can achieve.
The Most Improved Dealer award was snatched up by CMH Volvo Cars Bryanston who managed to surpass their Sales target last year. Furthermore, they achieved excellent results in their year-on-year Aftersales and Sales targets, resulting in them being the most improved dealership overall. Again, it simply proves what dedication to customer service and the Volvo brand can result in.
The coveted Volvo Dealer of the Year title was awarded to Tom Campher Volvo Cars Johannesburg.
Tom Campher achieved this coveted accolade by ensuring that they maintained excellent levels of service and performance at all times. The team at this award-winning dealership is performance-driven with a strong passion for the Volvo brand and dedication to customer service that is consistently raising the bar within the Volvo dealer network.
As is the custom – Volvo presented its Managing Director's Special Award for Excellence to:
- Auto Baltic Rustenburg – for excellent and consistent performance in all areas.
- Volvo Cars Bedfordview – for being a consistent top-performer during 2013.
The Managing Director's Award of Excellence is awarded to individuals or dealerships that stand out from the rest. The criteria for this award are entirely at the MD, Bram van der Reep's discretion, but teamwork, passion and leadership are undoubtedly the deciding factors.
