All-New Volvo V60: the versatile luxury wagon is coming
Introducing an elegant, sporty and versatile wagon for a new era.
Volvo Cars’ dynamic vision of a luxury family wagon, the new-generation V60, goes on sale in Australia in September.
The All-New Volvo V60 is shaped by more than 60 years of award-winning wagon experience that harks back to the company’s famous Duett of the 1950s.
It is a car that is designed to both enrich your life and complement your active lifestyle, blending exquisite Scandinavian craftsmanship, elegant design and smart technology with a highly versatile interior and an inspiring driving experience.
Exceptional comfort starts with the ergonomically designed, sculpted and rich leather accented front and rear seats, which are complemented by generous headroom and legroom throughout the cabin. You can even bathe the interior completely in natural light by choosing an optional panoramic roof that covers both seating rows and features special tinted glass to reduce the transmission of unwanted heat and UV radiation.
The feeling of modern Swedish luxury is extended by thoughtful ergonomics such as the intuitive Sensus 9.0-inch centre display, distinctive design such as the air vents that feature a vertical central strip with a metal finish, and delightful materials such as the Inscription trim model’s unique Driftwood décor.
And cabin versatility is created by the 60/40 split rear backrest that can be adapted to different needs.

Keep it in place to accommodate up to five people and a volume of 529 litres to the top of the rear backrest makes the load compartment one of the largest in the V60’s segment. Theres’ also a storage compartment under the floor. Or lower both parts of the backrest to create a practically flat load area with a capacious 1441 litres of luggage space.
A power tailgate that makes loading and unloading easier is standard and includes a hands-free function.
On the road, the V60’s dynamic character comes to the fore through an agility derived from expertly tuned suspension and the use of advanced, lightweight materials in the vehicle’s construction.
Yet in addition to the V60’s sporty feel, the wagon also delivers excellent ride comfort over any road, while all-wheel drive ensures safe and secure handling
The All-New V60, a finalist for 2019 World Car of the Year, provides power with responsibility through drivetrains that balance strong performance and low emissions.
The entry T5 drivetrain available on all trim grades features a 187kW turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive (AWD).
The range-topping T8 R-Design model with its Twin Engine plug-in hybrid variant that offers opportunities for zero-emissions travel.

Safety and driver-assistance features offered on the V60 include Volvo’s Pilot Assist steering support system and Park Assist Pilot, plus a range of City Safety technologies that includes Blind Spot with steer assist, Auto High Beam, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Run-Off Road Mitigation, and Oncoming Lane Mitigation.
A 360-degree Camera, which helps drivers manoeuvre their car into tight parking spaces, and a heads-up display are standard on Inscription and R-Design models.
The All-New V60 wagon arrives simultaneously with the S60 sports sedan to expand Volvo’s showroom beyond its award-winning SUVs that have already taken the brand to record sales growth in Australia.
“The S60 and V60 are the perfect cars for the Australian lifestyle and both perfectly complement our award-winning SUV line-up,” says Nick Connor, managing director of Volvo Car Australia. “With the addition of these two vehicles our entire model line is now new and fresh.”
