All-New Volvo S60: the dynamic sedan is coming

Volvo’s new sports sedan goes on sale from September.
The new-generation Volvo S60 sedan goes on sale in Australia from September – joining the company’s highly successful and multi-award-winning SUVs.

The sports sedan starts a fresh expansion of the Swedish brand’s vehicle line-up across multiple luxury-car segments.

With Volvo Cars’ range of SUVs bringing a collection of major awards including 2019 Wheels Car of the Year for the Volvo XC40, and contributing to record growth in Australia, the company is confident the stylish S60 can strike a similar cord with both critics and the Australian automotive buying public.

“Sedans have always been popular with Australian car buyers, and with the addition of our S60 we intend to reinvigorate this body style,” said Nick Connor, managing director of Volvo Car Australia.

“In such a competitive market you need to stand out from the crowd, and we are confident that with its very distinctive look and competitive pricing the S60 will make an immediate impact with buyers who are looking for something very different from the staid models in the luxury segment today.”

The S60 was a finalist for 2019 World Car of the Year.

With effortless performance, intuitive technology, and a sophisticated chassis that balances comfort and control, the Volvo S60 celebrates the joy of driving.

And a choice of driving modes puts you at the centre of the dynamic experience.

The ability of the S60 on the road is communicated confidently by its exterior design. Sculpted sides and a sleek profile highlight the car’s athletic character while Scandinavian elegance and dynamic attitude combine to give it a purposeful, focused presence.

Safety and driver assistance features offered on the S60 include Volvo’s Pilot Assist steering support system, plus a range of City Safety technology that includes blind spot with steer assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, run-off road mitigation, and oncoming lane mitigation.

A 360-degree Camera, which helps drivers manoeuvre their car into tight parking spaces, is standard on Inscription and R-Design models.

These and other technologies make the S60 one of the best equipped mid-sized sports sedans in the Australian market.
