XC60 Moments

The world’s first photo exhibition shot with a car

XC60 Moments takes place at the intersection of art and technology. Shot and curated by Pulitzer and Emmy award-winning photographer, Barbara Davidson, using Volvo’s advanced built-in City Safety camera, the exhibition gives a glimpse of life through the eyes of the new Volvo XC60, paying tribute to the people it is designed to protect.

SEE IT HERE ON 4TH JULY

The world's first photo exhibition shot with a car.

While exploring the camera’s functionality and purpose – protecting people in and around traffic – it is also the story of a young girl and her first day in a new city, as we follow her at a distance from early morning to late night.

Moments is not only a novel approach to photography and storytelling. It’s the world’s first photo exhibition shot with a car.

The car behind the camera

Everything we do starts with people. Our vision is that by 2020 no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo car. So when we developed the new XC60, we thought about everyone in and around the car. It comes with our new City Safety system that can detect other vehicles, people, cyclists – even animals – around the car. City Safety also includes steering support, which engages when automatic braking alone would not help avoid a potential collision.

Oncoming Lane Mitigation can help drivers to avoid collisions with vehicles in an oncoming lane, by automatically steering the car back into its own lane. And the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) now not only warns but also steers the car back into its own lane and away from danger.

The new Volvo XC60 is the future of safety.
