The differences between Sensus Navigation and Internet maps

Volvo offers the navigation system Sensus Navigation and the map service Internet maps. Since they resemble each other visually, it is not always easy to immediately see which system your Volvo is equipped with.

WikiLocations

The WikiLocations app allows you to read Wikipedia articles related to your car's position and destination. WikiLocations can only be used if the car is equipped with both Sensus Connect and Sensus Navigation.

Weather

The Weather app can provide you with weather information in the car's local area or in a selected location. Weather can only be used if the car is equipped with both Sensus Connect and Sensus Navigation.

Suggest new map information

If your Volvo is equipped with Sensus Navigation, maps from the Here map supplier are shown. If you find that any information is missing from a map, or want to suggest changes, you can do this at Here's Map Creator service. Such information can include new addresses or rerouted roads.

iGo and Sensus Connected Touch

iGo is an integrated solution for satellite navigation with three dimensional city models and landmarks. The system can manage Points Of Interest (POI) and premium-traffic information. It is also possible to use iGo without internet connection.

Send destination to the vehicle via Send to Car

Send to Car makes it possible to send map destinations to your Volvo. You can send destinations from a computer browser or via the Volvo On Call. To use this function, your car must be equipped with Sensus Connect and Sensus Navigation, and there must be a Volvo ID registered to the car. To use this feature via the Volvo On Call app, your vehicle must be equipped with Volvo On Call.

Use Send to Car (web browser)

Instructions for web browser

In the web browser: Go to https://wego.here.com/.

In the web browser: Enter the destination in the search field.

In the web browser: Press the Share button and then Or Send to car.

In the web browser: Enter your Volvo ID or the car's VIN in the box Car ID.

The destination is sent to your vehicle's navigation system.

On the center console: Press the connect button twice.

In the menu for Sensus Connect: Select Apps and then Send to Car.

The destinations that you selected in the web browser are listed. Select the destination(s) that you want to save in the vehicle or start navigation to.

Instructions for the Volvo On Call app

Only applies to Volvo On Call markets.

In your smartphone: Open Volvo On Call and login using your Volvo ID.

In your smartphone: Open the "Send destination" function.

In your smartphone: Search for a destination and select a search result.

In your smartphone: Select "Send destination to vehicle".

The destination is sent to your vehicle's navigation system. Select Set single destination to start navigation.

Instructions for the NOKIA app

In your smartphone: Download Nokia HERE or Nokia Drive.

In your smartphone: Open maps and select the destination.

In your smartphone: Press the destination and select Send to your Volvo.

The destination is sent to your vehicle's navigation system. Select Set single destination to start navigation.

Installation and use of Google Local Search

You can install and use the Google Local Search app via your Volvo's center display. Using the app you can, among other things, search for restaurants, hotels and gasoline stations in the vicinity of the car and along a route.

The Find Fuel enables you to find fuel stations near to your vehicle while driving. Find Fuel can only be used if the vehicle is equipped with both Sensus Connect and Sensus Navigation.
