Climate functions for electric vehicles
The climate system is started from the climate function in tab and runs for 30 minutes.
Climate function for plug-in hybrid
You can start the climate system immediately or enter a time at which you will use the vehicle. If you choose to enter a time, the climate system will start automatically to adjust the passenger compartment temperature before departure.
When the vehicle is plugged into an electrical outlet
The climate system can be started from the climate function in the tab. For vehicles in category A, the climate system runs for 50 minutes, and for vehicles in categories B and C, it runs for 30 minutes.1
When the vehicle is not plugged into an electrical outlet
Start the climate system from the climate function in the tab. Enter when you plan to start driving (in number of minutes from the current time). When 30 or 50 minutes2 is selected, only the climate system will start. If 1-15 minutes is selected, there is also the option to remote-start the engine to help the vehicle more quickly reach a comfortable temperature. Setting climate system timers
A timer can be set to automatically start the climate system to adjust the temperature of the passenger compartment before departure.
- Category A1: Two timers can be set over the next 24 hours.
- Category B1: Up to 8 different timers can be set. Each timer can be set by selecting time, date, day of week and whether the setting should be repeated every week.
- Category C1: Up to 8 different timers can be set. Each timer can be set by selecting time, day of week and whether the setting should be repeated every week.
Timers are set from the climate function in the tab.
Other climate settings
Select in the climate function's settings if the driver seat, passenger seat and steering wheel3 heating should be activated.
Climate function for vehicles with combustion engines
If the vehicle is equipped with the climate package*, you can start the climate system immediately or enter a time at which you will use the vehicle. If you choose to enter a time, the climate system will start automatically to warm up the passenger compartment before departure.
Direct-starting the climate system
The climate system can be started from the climate function in the tab.
For vehicles with automatic transmissions, you can enter when you plan to start driving (in number of minutes from current time). Vehicles in category A can select 1-50 minutes and vehicles in categories B and C can select 1-30 minutes.1 When 30 or 50 minutes is selected, the climate system will only start in order to heat up the passenger compartment. If 1-15 minutes is selected, there is also the option to remote-start the engine to help the vehicle more quickly reach a comfortable temperature.
