Send to Car

Send to Car makes it possible to send map destinations to your Volvo via the Volvo Cars app on the markets in which Volvo On Call is available. Maps can be obtained from www.here.com.

Starting in February 2020, it will no longer be possible to send map destinations from websites to the vehicle.

Send to Car is a free service that enables you to send map destinations to the navigation system in your vehicle. You can send destinations via the Volvo Cars app1 (Sending a destination to the vehicle's navigation system with the Volvo Cars app). To use this function, you must have Sensus Navigation as well as Volvo ID or the car's VIN. For information on how to create a Volvo ID, see Create and register a Volvo ID .

Operation

Send to Car can be used whilst driving. To ensure as safe as possible use of the service whilst driving, we recommend use of the steering wheel controls.

Tips when using Send to Car

If you experience problems with Send to Car, check that you have a working internet connection and good signal strength. For information on how to setup the internet connection in your Volvo, see Connect your mobile phone to the car via Bluetooth or Connect to the Internet via your mobile phone (WiFi).

 Note

Available selection of apps can vary depending on market and if the services are supported by Volvo's third party vendors. It may be the case that one or several apps are not available on the market where the car is sold or used.
