Volvo ID

Volvo ID is a personal ID that gives access to a wide range of Volvo services both online and in your car.

The article applies for V40, V70, XC70 and S80 from model year 2015 to model year 2019 as well as S60, V60 and XC60 from model year 2014 to model year 2018. If the information doesn't apply to your vehicle/model year, see instead.

Volvo ID1

Volvo ID is a personal login code consisting of a user name (email address/mobile number) and a password. Volvo ID is used to log in to certain connected services from Volvo. For information on how to create a Volvo ID, see Creating and registering a Volvo ID .

Examples of services

  • For cars equipped with Sensus Connect, Volvo ID is used when you log in to the Volvo Cars app2.

Starting in February 2020, it will no longer be possible to send map destinations from websites to the vehicle.

Why a Volvo ID?

A Volvo ID consists of a username and a password and it gives you access to Volvo's different services.

When you change your user name/password for a service (e.g. Volvo On Call), it will also be automatically changed for other services.
