Handle cargo cover
Fitting
Insert one of the cargo cover's end pieces in the recess in the side panel of the cargo area.
Fold down the front panel of the cargo cover to eliminate the space between the cargo cover and the rear seat backrest.
If a safety net1 is used, the front panel should rest up on the cassette.
Note
Use
The cargo cover can be closed in two positions – a fully extended position and a loading position, where it is only partially closed to enable you to reach further into the cargo area more easily.
Fully extended position
Grasp the handle and pull out the cargo cover so that it runs along the top of the side panels in the cargo area. Pull it to its end position.
Loading position
From fully extended position:
With the automatic cargo cover,2the cover will be retracted from the fully extended position to the loading position each time the tailgate is opened, and is extended again when the tailgate is closed. The cargo cover can detect whether anything is preventing it moving and can automatically move back to full cover mode in this case.
Note
Important
Do not load objects on top of the cargo cover.
Pay attention to the risk of crushing when opening and closing with the automatic cargo cover1.
If the cargo area is loaded with a bulky load then the automatic cargo cover is moved to retracted position in order to avoid it making contact with the load.
Retracting
From fully extended position:
Lift up the handle and pull it rearwards so that the cargo cover retaining pins are released from the grooves. Then release.
From the loading position:
Grasp the handle, pull the cargo cover out of the grooves, and then pull it to the fully extended position. Lift up the handle and pull it rearwards so that the retaining pins are released from the grooves. Then release.
Bear in mind that a retracted cargo cover may obstruct the view rearwards.
