New procedures for replacing rear wiper blade

If you have had your car in for a service and a service technician replaced the wiper arm for the rear wiper blade, the procedure for replacing the windshield wiper is different.

Replacing rear wiper blade

If the wiper arm is replaced by a service technician during a service, follow these steps to replace the wiper blade on the rear windshield1.

Press the arrow with your thumb to detach the blade.
Fold the wiper arm outward.
Angle out the wiper blade slightly from the wiper arm.
Grasp around the wiper arm and using thumb pressure (at the arrow) push the blade forward to detach it.
Press the new wiper blade into place. Check that it is secure.
Fold the wiper arm back.
