Volvo Car Thailand receives the Best Brand of The Year 2020 award
from LINE Corporation Thailand
LINE Thailand, the first social messenger platform in Thailand with over 46 million users, created the LINE THAILAND AWARDS 2020 to celebrate leading global brands and successful Thai organizations that have demonstrated outstanding digital marketing results. Volvo Car Thailand has been awarded the Best Brand of The Year 2020 for successfully taking the brand from the showroom to the digital world.
LINE Thailand’s prestigious awards are given to leading brands in advertising, marketing, and communication which leveraged various channels from LINE including the LINE Official Account, LINE TV, Smart Channel, and Sponsored stickers.
Mr. Jean-David Harel, Head of Marketing & Digitalization of Volvo Car (Thailand), said, “We are incredibly proud to be presented with the LINE award as Best Brand Of The Year 2020, as it recognizes the successful digital transformation of Volvo and our ability to deliver an excellent digital customer journey that provides direct interaction between our brand and our Thai consumers. We now have more than 70,000 LINE friends, and thanks to OA cross-targeting we can better understand our LINE users, talk to them directly through LINE chat and so communicate in a more efficient and personalized way.”
The Volvo LINE Official Account provides better insights and profiling of Volvo owners and prospects making it a valuable asset in the brand’s CRM strategy. Through Volvo Car Thailand’s LINE Official Account, customers can access all information related to models, products, and prices, inquire about after-sales service, as well as make appointments to request a test-drive and all with just the touch of a finger.
Mr. Jean-David Harel, added, “By optimizing all business CRM data we are now able to deliver relevant content to consumers and connect with them throughout their journey from the awareness stage to the consideration stage right up until the conversion stage through LINE MyShop. We made the launch of our LINE Official Account a priority and as such we revised our business model so as we could benefit from the plug-in social commerce tool called LINE MyShop to sell the XC40 online with a complete transaction process from booking deposit until delivery at the retailers’ showrooms. Volvo Car Thailand is the first European carmaker to do this in Thailand.”
