Keyless Drive* - unlocking with the key blade

If central locking cannot be activated with the remote control key, e.g. if the batteries are discharged, then the left-hand front door can be opened using the remote control key's detachable key blade.

Electromagnetic fields and screening can interfere with the remote control key's Keyless functions.

Cars equipped with Keyless Drive have a number of built-in antennas positioned at different locations in the car.

Unlocking takes place when a hand grasps a door handle or the tailgate's rubberised pressure plate is actuated - open the door or tailgate as normal.

In order to unlock the doors or tailgate automatically without pressing a button on the remote control key, a remote control key must be within approx. 1.5 metres from the car's door handle or tailgate.
