Altered start/stop symbols

The start/stop function switches off the engine temporarily when you come to a halt and then starts automatically when needed.

A text used to be shown on the tachometer when this function was available. This has been replaced with the following symbols when the function is available:

19w17 - Support site - Symbol Stop/Start inactive

White - Appears in the tachometer when the function is available.

19w17 - Support site - Symbol Stop/Start active

Green - Appears in the tachometer when the function is active and the engine is auto-stopped.

19w17 - Support site - Symbol Stop/Start not available

Grey - The function is not available when this symbol is struck through and greyed out.

If no symbol is displayed, the function is disabled.

This article is applicable to

  • Car model/model year

  • S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country from model year 2017 to 2021.

  • XC40 from model year 2018 onwards.

  • XC60 from and including model year 2018 to and including 2021.

  • S60, V60 and V60 Cross Country from model year 2019 to 2022.

  • The range of models may vary depending on market.
