Charging status in the car's driver display
Charging status is indicated in the driver display. Both current and set amperage for charging are shown in the driver display when charging with alternating current. Note that both current and set amperage apply per phase from the alternating current power source.

The car is equipped with a rechargeable high voltage battery of lithium-ion type.
Starting the charging of the high voltage battery
When charging with alternating current, only use the charging cable supplied with the car or a replacement cable recommended by Volvo.The car is charged with a charging cable between the car and a charging station (mode 3) or a 230 V socket* (alternating current).
Ending the charging of the high voltage battery
End charging by pressing the button next to the charging input socket or via the button in the centre display.
Charging power is used for charging the high voltage battery as well as preconditioning of the car. Charging takes place with a charging cable connected to the car's charging input socket and a 230 Vsocket* (alternating current) or via a charging station. Different amperage loads can be set in the centre display.
