Type designations

The decals in the car contain information such as chassis number, type designation, colour code, etc.

Label location

Px-2037-XC40BEV-Type approval, labels, not Brasil, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and USA — The figure is schematic - parts may vary depending on market and model.

Knowing the car's type designation, vehicle identification and motor numbers can facilitate contact with a Volvo dealer regarding the car and when ordering spare parts and accessories.

P5-1507-Product decal, not China and Saudi Arabia

P5-Icon red circle 1 Decal for type designation, vehicle identification number, permissible maximum weights and code designation for exterior colour and date of manufacture. The decal is positioned on the door pillar, and will be visible when the right-hand rear door is opened.

P5-1507-Volvo Identification Number decal

P5-Icon red circle 3 Decal for the car's identification number - VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). The decal is located on the top left-hand part of the instrument panel and is visible through the windscreen.
