Sensus Connected Touch and data roaming

This article describes the meaning of data roaming and how data use is affected by the functions in Sensus Connected Touch.

What is Data roaming?

Roaming means connecting to the Internet using a network other than that of your operator. Depending on operator, roaming can be costly when travelling abroad.

Deactivating data roaming

If you use your mobile phone to share Wi-Fi, go to settings in your mobile phone to deactivate data roaming.

Interrupted traffic information

When a country border is crossed, traffic information is often interrupted since data roaming is switched off. Traffic information does not use a large amount of data traffic, but for it to work requires data roaming to be switched on. This also applies to other functions in Sensus Connected Touch.

Data roaming needs to be switched on because you are not in the country where you have your data traffic subscription. Note that if Sensus Connected Touch is connected to a mobile phone and roaming is used then both the mobile phone and Sensus Connected Touch use data.
