THE SPORTY EXPRESSION
The Volvo XC60 R-Design
Experience the Swedish SUV at its most dynamic. With refined, sporty styling and a driving experience to match.
Designed for driving
Bold design and a dynamic chassis make the XC60 R-Design an SUV that exudes and inspires confidence. It has an imposing presence, thanks to exclusive exterior design cues such as a front grille insert in black, high-gloss mesh, glossy black lower outer grilles, silk-finish side window trim and integrated tail pipes. Standard R-Design alloy wheels, available in 19-inch or 21-inch sizes, add to the powerful impression. Inside, perforated Nappa leather/Nubuck textile upholstery and Metal Mesh Aluminium décor panels combine exclusive luxury with sporty style, while Contour seats hold you in place as you enjoy a spirited drive.

The race for perfection
In this article, we visit the Volvo Ocean Race Boatyard in Lisbon, Portugal. Here, we meet the team of experts responsible for repairing and re-fitting the entire fleet of Volvo Ocean 65 boats that will compete in the 2017-18 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race. We describe each team member’s individual area of expertise and show how the team works together to ensure that each boat is repaired identically, on time and to the highest possible standard. Their expertise in different areas represents the same level of competence you find at a Volvo workshop. We also meet Swedish sailor Martin Strömberg, who won the 2011-12 edition of the race, to find out what a great service programme gives him as a sailor.
