The Volvo S90

The LED headlights of the S90 give you the best possible view at night and the T-shaped light signatures create a strong identity. LED Illumination headlights prevent you dazzling other road users by automatically switching between dipped and full beam. Range-topping Full-LED Active High Beam Illumination technology adapts the light pattern on full beam to give you the best coverage. It also includes Active Bending Lights that turn in the same direction as the steering wheel (up to 30˚ in either direction), for a better view through corners.

Every seat in the S90 is designed for maximum comfort. Standard Comfort seats provide exceptional support, and optional powered adjustment includes side bolsters and extending seat cushions. Passengers in the rear get the same levels of comfort, with optional heating and plenty of legroom, thanks to the front seats’ slender form.

Easy interaction with the car’s main controls and infotainment makes every journey in the S90 a pleasure. The digital driver display puts important information directly in front of you, and automatically adjusts brightness to the surrounding light conditions to reduce strain on the eyes. An optional head-up display projects information onto the windscreen, so there’s no need to take your eyes off the road.

A voice control function that recognises natural speech allows you to easily operate climate control, navigation, media and phone.

Our range-topping Bowers & Wilkins sound system delivers peerless clarity and precision. It features a unique subwoofer made partly from carbon fibre that draws air in from outside the car to create deep, resonant bass. A rearward-facing tweeter mounted on the dash cuts down on acoustic reflections from the windscreen.

Three different room modes allow you to tailor the sound to your music or mood. Stainless steel speaker grilles and Bowers & Wilkins yellow speaker cones make this a system that looks as good as it sounds.

With Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, connecting your smartphone to the S90 is quick and easy. Just plug it in and the central touch screen becomes an extension of your smartphone. Access your music, messages and make calls, using voice control to talk to your phone’s personal assistant. Your phone is charged while plugged in to the USB port and you can still see the car’s other functions on the touch screen because Apple CarPlay and Android Auto only use the lower half of the display.

The S90 offers a choice of drive modes to match the road and your mood, altering the characteristics of the engine, automatic gearbox, steering, brakes, stability control system and engine Start/Stop. Comfort mode means maximum comfort, Dynamic sharpens up the car’s responses and Eco helps maximise efficiency. And, with Individual mode, the characteristics can be combined to create a car tailored to you.

The latest generation of Volvo Cars engines combine compact and lightweight design with turbocharging and low-friction technology to deliver exceptional responsiveness and efficiency. The powerful T6 engine features both a turbocharger and a supercharger for strong low-rev responses.

With 360˚ Camera, four cameras create a bird’s eye view of your car’s surroundings to help make parking easier. Available at speeds up to 10km/h, the virtual image of the car appears on the centre touch screen, and is particularly useful in tight spaces where you can’t see clearly what’s around you.

City Safety looks out for potential danger by using radar and camera technology to identify other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and even large animals, to help avoid or mitigate a collision. If City Safety detects an imminent collision, it alerts the driver and can automatically apply the brakes if the driver doesn’t react in time. City Safety also includes Steering Support, which helps you to steer away from danger as effectively and safely as possible.

The sophisticated presence of the S90 is enhanced with optional 21-inch alloy wheels. The 10-spoke designs have a diamond-cut finish that provides a distinctive contrast between the matt black inner sections and bright silver outer sections.
