The Volvo V60

The V60 is one of the new generation of Volvo cars, with a proud front grille setting the tone and sculptured sides emphasising the car’s athletic character. Strongly defined rear shoulders express the car’s dynamic abilities, while deep and long side windows communicate the practicality of the V60 and let a lot of light into its cabin.

The interior of the V60 is designed to complement an active lifestyle. The 60/40 split rear backrest adapts to different needs, folding to leave a practically flat load surface. The head restraints automatically fold out of the way as the backrests are folded, while backrests that fold down electrically are an option.

Useful features in the load compartment include a storage area under the floor that keeps valuable items out of sight and is locked together with the tailgate, as well as four shopping bag hooks and load securing eyelets.

The interior of the V60 is designed to delight, with a sleek centre touch screen and distinctive air vents featuring a vertical central strip with a metal finish. There are diamond-pattern finishes for the air vents’ control knobs, starter button, driving mode rotary controller and steering wheel controls.

The materials used in the cabin of the V60 enhance the feeling of modern Swedish luxury. Inscription trim includes decor in Driftwood – a unique wood treatment that is satisfying to look at and touch.

The V60 offers a choice of drive modes, for a driving experience tailored to you. These create specific settings for the engine, automatic gearbox, steering, brakes, stability control system and engine stop/start function. Using the roller control between the front seats you can switch easily between the drive modes – Comfort, Dynamic and Eco, as well as Individual mode, which allows you to create your own combination.

Bowers & Wilkins audio is the top-level sound system for the V60. A collaboration with the acclaimed audio manufacturer, it delivers 1100 watts to its 15 speakers, including a unique air-ventilated subwoofer that provides powerful bass tones. Each speaker is positioned to optimise acoustics, and there is a dashboard-mounted tweeter to cut down acoustic reflection from the windscreen.

Three different room modes allow you to tailor the sound to your music or mood, while visual details such as stainless steel speaker panels, Bowers & Wilkins logos and yellow speaker cones create an exclusive impression.

You can access all your music on the move in the V60, thanks to seamless smartphone integration. Support for Apple CarPlay allows you to link an Apple iPhone. Android Auto is also supported. It means you can easily select music through the car’s touch screen or voice command function.

An integrated Spotify app means that there’s no need to connect your phone to access it – just use the app in the centre display. And with Volvo Cars’ Sensus Connect package, the centre touch screen becomes an internet-connected hub, giving you access to a range of additional apps and allowing you to enjoy internet radio and audiobooks in your V60.

The V60 T6 Twin Engine and T8 Twin Engine have plug-in hybrid powertrains that deliver the instantaneous power of electric propulsion, and the capacity for zero-emissions driving, without any compromise. It’s because the V60 Twin Engine models were designed right from the outset to use a plug-in hybrid powertrain, so the batteries and electric motor don’t compromise space or versatility. It’s simple to plug them in to top up the battery, but the powerful petrol engine means you can keep going even without an electric top-up.

City Safety is a Volvo Cars innovation that helps to protect people inside and outside the V60 by looking out for potential danger. It uses radar and camera technology to identify potential hazards such as other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and large animals ahead, day or night. It warns the driver if it detects an imminent collision and, if they don’t react in time, City Safety can automatically apply the brakes to help avoid or mitigate a collision. In the V60, City Safety also includes Steering Support, which helps the driver to steer away from danger as effectively and safely as possible.

Our range of seats accommodate children from 0-10 years old and up to 36kg in weight and include a new infant seat that swivels, to make getting your children in and out even easier.

The 360˚ Camera available for the V60 helps make parking simple by giving you a bird’s-eye view of your car and its immediate surroundings. It’s especially useful when negotiating tight spaces, helping you to feel in control behind the wheel. The surround view from the four ‘fish-eye’ cameras integrated in the car appears on the centre touchscreen and is available at speeds up to 10km/h.

Enhance the athletic, powerful character of the V60 with optional 20-inch alloy wheels. The 10-spoke ‘fan’ design has a distinctive diamond-cut finish that provides a striking contrast between the matt black inner sections and bright outer sections.
