Regenerative braking*
The car recovers kinetic energy during braking in order to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
The function is available in all drive modes together with gear position D or M.
Energy recovery with the brake pedal
Depress the brake pedal.
The car brakes and regenerates energy.
Regeneration increases during engine braking when manual gearshift mode M is selected.
Symbols in the driver display
If the car is a mild hybrid, a battery symbol is shown on the right of the driver display.
When the battery is being charged, e.g. during regenerative braking, this is indicated by this symbol.
