Finding the car's identification number

All cars have a unique identification number, VIN[1].

This article is applicable to cars with the earlier Sensus infotainment system

You can find your car's VIN via the Volvo Cars app, the centre display, on your car's dashboard or in your service and warranty booklet.

In the Volvo Cars app

  1. Go to the car tab .
  2. Go to Car detailsVehicle Identification Number (VIN).

On the dashboard

Look on the dashboard through the windscreen on the driver's side of the car.

Via the centre display

You can find your car's VIN number in your car's settings.

In the service and warranty booklet or the registration document

The VIN can also be found on the first page of the service and warranty booklet or in the car's registration document.
