  3. Stand a chance to win a luxury weekend retreat with the Volvo XC40 for 2 persons.


  5. The Volvo XC40 campaign starts on 18 April 2019, Thursday (10 AM) and ends on 19 May 2019 (11:59 PM).


  7. Participants must be Malaysian citizens aged above 23 with a certified Malaysian Driving License of at least 5 years driving experience under Malaysia ruling.

  11. Watch the film and identify one of the hidden codes in the video (you may also find the instructions and how to find the hidden codes in the same video).

  12. Once you have identified one of the hidden codes, pause at it and screenshot with your smartphone or print screen if you are using a desktop/ laptop.

  13. Send the screenshot or print screen to the following WhatsApp number and wait for a response: +6013 663 4040

  14. 20 contest participants stand a chance to win a unique test drive experience with the new Volvo XC40 for a 2D1N Luxury Weekend Retreat for two (2) persons.

  15. Winners will be selected and announced on a weekly basis.

  18. Winners will be selected via a randomization system.

  19. We will identify and contact the potential winners via WhatsApp from this number +6013 663 4040. Shortlisted participants will be contacted via a phone call and required to answer a simple question from us correctly.

  20. Shortlisted participants will receive 3 phone calls and will be texted via WhatsApp within 48 hours. Failure to reply, Volvo reserves the right to move on to the next identified winner.

  21. Winner will need to give Full Name, NRIC & Contact Details.


  23. The Volvo XC40 car will be used for this event. Participants who wish to test drive another model is subject for approval.


  25. Winners will be eligible to bring one (1) guest along.


  27. Volvo is not responsible for any printing or typographical errors in any materials or for registrations, contest forms or submissions that are illegible, incomplete, lost or misdirected, fail to enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly or are lost for any reason including electronic, computer, telephone, paper transfer, mail system, human or other error; including inability to access any website associated with the Contest. Proof of submission shall not constitute proof of receipt by Volvo.

  28. If any information provided through WhatsApp is found to be misleading or inaccurate, that entry shall be deemed invalid.

  29. By entering the Contest, you expressly agree that your completed WhatsApp Messages does not contain any image or content that is unlawful, libelous, slanderous, defamatory or invasive of another person’s right of privacy or right of publicity, or that Volvo may reasonably deem harmful, vulgar, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, objectionable with respect to race, religion, creed, national origin or gender, or otherwise unfit for publication. Volvo (and its affiliates) shall not be liable in any way for your completed WhatsApp Messages. If Volvo, in its sole and absolute discretion, considers your completed WhatsApp Messages inappropriate or unsuitable for publication, Volvo may remove your contest submission from the Contest.

  30. You are prohibited from submitting to this Contest any images/photos/artwork/music for which you are not the sole and rightful owner. In the event that any third party alleges that any image/photo/artwork/music submitted by you infringes the copyright or other proprietary rights of such third party, you shall indemnify the Volvo (and its affiliates) from and against any and all loss, damage, liability and costs resulting therefrom.

  31. All entries become the property of Volvo. Personal details of the participants collected by Volvo may also be used for marketing purposes. However, such personal details will be dealt with in accordance with Volvo’s privacy policy. Further information on Volvo’s privacy policy can be obtained from here.

  32. Volvo, its affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, employees, representatives, dealers as well as its advertising, creative, media, digital, design and other creative agencies of Volvo, shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to loss of opportunities and any indirect or consequential losses) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with or arising from either participation in this Contest or with any of the prizes offered or forfeited.

  33. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you undertake to indemnify and keep Volvo, its affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents harmless and indemnified against any loss, damage, claims, costs and expenses which may be incurred or suffered by any or each of them due to your breach of any of these Terms and Conditions and /or arising from your participation in the Contest, and /or your use of any prize.

  34. Volvo’s decision is final and binding. In the event of any dispute arising from the Contest, or relating to the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the decision of Volvo on all matters pertaining to the Contest shall be final and binding on all parties. No discussions, correspondences, enquiries, appeals and/or challenges by any of the participants shall be entertained.

  35. No waiver. Volvo’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that or of any other provision.

  36. Modification of these Terms and Conditions, etc. Volvo may modify these Terms and Conditions and/or withdraw or terminate the Contest at any stage without any liability towards anyone.

  37. All information is correct at the time of publishing. In the event of any inaccuracy or any discrepancy between the print and online versions, shall prevail over the print version.

  38. The terms and conditions of the Contest shall be construed, governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
