Federal Auto Cars Sdn Bhd is one of the oldest car companies established in Malaysia. We started business in 1960 as the first distributor of Volvo cars and maintained this role until 1999 when Volvo Car Corporation established Volvo Car Malaysia as its own subsidiary to manage sales and marketing.

The Volvo brand took off strongly in Malaysia and quickly became well-known among Malaysians for durability and safety. Over time, Volvo vehicle sales increased and we began to expand our reach to serve our customers better.

It is a little known fact that our first sales outlet was situated in Penang but we soon branched out and established Malaysia’s first purpose-built car showrooms along Jalan Klang. Today, in addition to our iconic location along the Federal Highway, our network extends from our headquarters in Glenmarie to our Penang outlet that covers the northern region as well as the southern region which is served by our presence in Melaka and Johor. We still remain the largest Volvo dealer network in the country.

Our service centres carry only Volvo Genuine Parts and are authorized to verify and process warranty claims. Aside from a free ‘Vehicle Health Check’ along with other top-class services, customers can also obtain a wide range of accessories to enhance the already appealing asthetics or performance of their vehicles. For customers wishing to upgrade the performance of their cars, we offer in-house tuning by Polestar, the high-performance Volvo team.
