Volvo Car Netherlands B.V., a Dutch legal entity with registration number 14051974 and with address Stationsweg 2, 4153 RD Beesd, the Netherlands, hereinafter referred to as “we”, “our” and “us”, or together with our affiliates within Volvo Cars, referred to as “Volvo Cars”, will as controller process your personal data as described below.

Purpose and legal basis for processing
We process the personal data that you provide by email, such as your name, contact information and other personal data contained in your job application.

The purpose of our processing of your personal data is to administer and review your job application for potential employment, for the job that you apply for and other job openings with Volvo Cars or its affiliates or if you submit an unsolicited application. The legal basis for processing your personal data in relation to the job that you have applied for is that this processing is necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interest in filling the vacant job position. The legal basis for processing your personal data in relation to other job openings is your consent, which we ask you after you have submitted your application by email. If you do not wish to consent, we will not be able to process your job application for other job openings other than the one you have applied for. You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time. Please direct a request for withdrawal of consent to soll@volvocars.com.

Disclosure / Recipients of your personal data / Transfer
Your personal data will be disclosed to and processed by our affiliates. In relation to our affiliates located outside of EEA, we will transfer your personal data with the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

Retention time
We will retain your personal data for a period of one (1) year after the job that you apply for has been appointed. When you did not consent, we retain your data for a period of four weeks after the job that you apply for has been appointed.

Your rights and contact information
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we store about you. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. Please do not hesitate to ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to have your personal data deleted and to have our processing of your personal data restricted in certain circumstances. In addition, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data as well as to receive your personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have these transmitted to another controller. If you are of the opinion that we are processing your personal data in violation of privacy laws and regulations you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, accessible through the following link: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/.
