Traffic information in real time (RTTI)

With a connected car, you can obtain real-time traffic information about queues, road closures and other things that may affect your travel time.

How does RTTI work?

Information on traffic events and traffic flow is retrieved continuously from an internet service. Traffic conditions can be shown for motorways, major roads and country roads and for certain inner city routes.

Coloured lines notify you of the traffic situation.

The traffic information extends approximately 120 km from the car's position.

Text and symbols on the map are shown as usual and the traffic flow shows how quickly the traffic is moving on a road in relation to the road's speed limit.

Traffic flow can be displayed on the map by a coloured line per direction:

  • Green - no disruptions.
  • Orange - slow traffic.
  • Red - congestion/traffic jam/accident.

Activating/deactivating

In the normal view for the navigation source, press OK/MENU and select SettingsUse Real Time Traffic Information.
Select in the box to activate real time traffic information, or deselect the box to deactivate.

 Note

Traffic information is not available in all areas/countries.

Coverage areas for traffic information are being increased continuously.

The traffic information that is shared from the car is anonymous and is only shared when RTTI is activated.
