Connecting driver profile to key

Personal preferences for seats, climate control, audio, navigation and communication, amongst other things, can be saved in driver profiles and connected to one of the car's keys.

Connecting driver profile to key

Personal preferences can be saved in a driver profile that can be connected to one of the car's keys. When the key is used, the car will use the driver profile settings.

You can connect your driver profile to a key. The appearance of the driver profile view may vary depending on software version.
Open Settings in the centre display.
Press SystemDriver Profiles.
Select the profile you want to connect to the key. The Guest profile cannot be connected to a key.
Drag down the top view and tap on SettingsSystemDriver ProfilesEdit Profile and tick Connect key.
When the text Profile connected to key is shown, the key and driver profile are connected.
Press OK.
If you want to cancel the connection to a key, untick Connect key.

 Note

Connecting a driver profile to a remote control key is only possible when the car is stationary.

  • XC60, XC60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, V90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid and S90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid from model year 2018 to 2021.

  • XC40 from model year 2018 onwards.

  • V60, V60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, V60 Cross Country, S60, S60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid from model year 2019 to 2022.

  • XC40 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid from model year 2020 onwards.

  • The range of models may vary depending on market.
