Cleaning Microtech upholstery*
Use cleaning agents and car care products recommended by Volvo. Clean regularly, and deal with stains straight away. Vacuuming is important prior to using cleaning agents.
Volvo's Microtech upholstery is treated to preserve its original appearance.
Regular cleaning and treatment are required in order that the properties and colours of the upholstery shall be preserved.
Note
Use a cleaning kit without alcohol or a leather cleaner to clean the Microtech upholstery.
Cleaning the Microtech upholstery
Apply the leather cleaner to a damp sponge and squeeze until a foam is created.
Use the sponge on the stain in a circular motion.
Thoroughly dampen the stain using the sponge, allow the sponge to absorb the stain without scrubbing.
Wipe the stain with a soft cloth and allow the leather to dry thoroughly.
Protecting the Microtech upholstery
Apply a small amount of leather protective agent to a cloth and then apply it to the leather in light circular motions.
Allow to dry for about 20 minutes.
Protecting the vinyl upholstery makes it more resistant to the stresses from the sun's UV radiation.
