Incoming call

To answer an incoming call, press OK/MENU. This function is possible even if the audio system is active (e.g. Radio or Media mode) in the car.

Refuse or end the call by pressing EXIT.

Automatic answer1

The automatic answer function means that calls are accepted automatically. To activate/deactivate, follow the instructions below.

On the centre console: Press TEL and OK/MENU.
On the centre console: Select Call options and then Auto answer.

Call menu

In the normal view for the phone source (TEL), one press on OK/MENU during the current call gives access to the following functions:

  • Mute - audio system microphone is muted.
  • Mobile phone - the call is transferred from handsfree to the mobile phone. For some mobile phones the connection is interrupted. The handsfree function then asks if you want to reconnect.
  • Dial number - option to call a third party using the number keys (current call set to standby).

Call register

The call register is mirrored (Sensus Connect) or copied (Sensus) in the hands-free function at each new connection and is then updated during the connection. To reach Call list press TEL and turn OK/MENU to the left (select All calls in Sensus).

 Note

Only certain mobile phones are fully compatible with the hands-free function. For more information on compatible mobile phones, see Phones and Bluetooth compatibility. For further assistance, contact your Volvo dealer or Volvo Cars customer service.

 Note

Some phones require that the phone's Bluetoothvolume is manually set to 100% in order for the audio volume in the car to be sufficiently high. This setting needs to be made for each phone connected. The setting is made once for phone calls and once for streaming media. The system will then remember the setting and it does not need to be repeated next time the phone is connected.
