Positioning toll tags on windscreens with heat reflective film

If you use a road toll tag or transmitter in your car to pass through road tolls, it is important that you position it correctly in the windscreen.

Road toll tag windscreen fit position

Some cars are equipped with heat reflective film in the windscreen (IR film) that reduces the sun's heat radiation in the passenger compartment. If you use a road toll tag or a similar device to pass through road tolls then it is important that it is located so that it is not covered by the heat reflective film. The location of the heat reflective film differs between different car models. You can find more information in the owner's manual for the car on where you should fit the road toll tag.

Remember that the road toll tag must not cover or interfere with sensors or cameras fitted in or adjacent to the windscreen. You have the option to visit your Volvo dealer for assistance with positioning the road toll tag.
