Using the Hold and Charge functions you have the option to control hybrid battery charging while driving. Hold and Charge have replaced the Save drive mode that was previously in cars with hybrid engines.
Hold
The Hold function can be used to save the hybrid battery charge in order to use the energy at a later date, e.g. when driving in an urban environment or through housing areas.
The car works as for normal hybrid operation and uses both the internal combustion engine and the energy generated when you brake in order to maintain the charge in the battery.
Charge
The Charge function is used by the petrol engine to charge the hybrid battery.
Activate
You can activate the Hold and Charge functions in the centre display's function view.
Symbol in the driver display
This symbol is shown in the driver display when one of the functions is activated.
